I’m currently at that stage of my life where I start incorporating more and more anti-ageing products into my skincare routine. From daily SPF wear to Retinol serums and regular facials, there are so many different ways to prevent premature skin aging. As you have probably already heard, LED is big news in the beauty industry and I was very excited when CurrentBody offered to send me their Skin LED Light Therapy Mask to review for your guys. Research has proven that LED treatments can effectively treat many skin concerns, but you won’t see long-term benefits from a single salon trip. That’s why an at-home device can safe you a lot of money and give you the exact same results. Read on to find out everything about this amazing mask.
What is a light therapy mask?
The device combines red and near infra-red light. Two wavelengths that work below the skin’s surface to stimulate the natural rejuvenation process. While the red light stimulates the production of new collagen, calms redness and creates an even skin tone, the near infra-red works beneath the skin’s surface. Penetrating deep in to the skin’s surface it boosts circulation, improves blood flow and boosts oxygen to the skin’s cells. The CurrentBody Light Therapy Mask is made from patented flexible silicone that wraps perfectly around the face just so the light can penetrate every area of the skin. The device actually uses the same gold standard Omnilux technology that is used by doctors and salons around the world.
I have been using this mask for 8 weeks now, at least 3 times a week and I can definitely see a difference in my skin. My skin feels a lot more plumped and hydrated and my complexion is generally more glowy and healthier looking. I can’t really say that it helped me with wrinkles as I don’t have any yet (knocks on wood) but I have seen multiple reviews from people that have achieved amazing results with it in that area. I’m not wearing any foundation in the photos, just eye makeup and a little bit of blush and concealer under my eyes. I never thought that I would be able to completely skip foundation but I’m extremely happy with my skin at the moment and this mask has definitely helped me achieve those results.
