Today I want to share my updated evening skincare routine. While I like to keep my skincare in the morning pretty minimal and only use three products in total, my evening skincare regime is a lot more thorough. At night, our skin literally switches to repair mode and it’s time for the skin to regenerate and recover from the day’s stresses. This is why I like to help my skin as much as I can to repair itself. Now read on to find out more about the products I use and why I love them so much.
The first thing I do to remove all of my makeup is to apply a splash of water to my reusable makeup glov from GLOV and smooth it all over my face. I find it the easiest and quickest way to remove makeup because this microfiber glov allows you to thoroughly cleanse your pores of dirt and grime, leaving the skin feeling and looking super clean and purified. You can use it for up to three months and it’s very easy to clean. I always like to do a double cleanse to make sure my skin is completely clean before I go in with my serums and creams. I like to use the Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel because it very gentle and leaves my skin feeling so soft and beautiful. I apply a small amount and massage it onto dry skin. After a minute I remove it with lukewarm water and my skin feels prepared for the next steps.
I’ve been using Retinoids on my skin for years now and it’s one of those really effective ingredients I absolutely swear by. I use the Granactive Retinoid 2% Emulsion from The Ordinary and massage a small amount of product all over my face and décolleté. It makes my complexion very smooth and helps to fight against signs of aging while being very gentle and non-irritating. After applying this serum, I’m currently using the Renewed Hope in a Jar Moisturiser from philosophy. I like the texture of this cream and it sinks into the skin fairly quickly, leaving a non-sticky and hydrated feeling. I will then use the Elemis Pro-Collagen Advanced Eye Treatment and gently apply it under my eyes. This eye treatment targets fine lines and wrinkles around the delicate eye area, helps smooth and firm for a more youthful appearance. Last but not least, I apply the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask. The scent of this lip treatment is incredible and I like the smooth feeling in leaves on the lips. When I wake up, my lips look and feel super plump and moisturized.
What are your evening skincare staples? Have you tried any of these products before?
