Illamasqua are on a winning streak at the moment. A new venture for the brand are the Colour Veil Blushers, a range of gorgeous summer shades to add a healthy glow to any complexion. Illamasqua are actually the first to market a jelly blusher and they always seem to do something unique with their products. Colour Veil stands out from traditional blushers for a number of reasons. These lightweight blushers are a hybrid formula that combines the jelly-like texture from their best-selling Hydra Veil Primer and the pigment from their powder blushers. Recently they have launched even more shades and I can’t wait to share the collection with you today. The new Colour Veils are simply amazing and definitely a staple in my makeup bag for this season. Read on to find out why you should keep them on your radar this summer.
What I love most about these blushers is the incredibly natural look and feeling it adds to the complexion. It almost gives the illusion of a gorgeous inner flush of colour that comes from your own skin. The Colour Veils come in 6 different shades, all of them are perfect for spring and summer and I have listed them with a description of each colour below. The hydrating formula feels super refreshing and comfortable on the skin and they are very easy to apply. You could use your fingers or, like myself, the Illamasqua Blush Brush to seamlessly blend the product onto the skin. I love using this brush because it allows a super precise and effortless application. The unique flat head hugs the contours of your face perfectly. These blushes also have special self-levelling properties to ensure a fresh, airbrushed finish with zero caking.
Warm up your complexion
There are so many looks that these blushers will work with. Whether you want a beautiful ‘no-makeup’ makeup look with a natural pop of colour on the cheeks or a more intense look for a night out, its buildable formula and incredible colour range has you covered. To create a more intense shade, try building up layers of the product or you could also mix up different shades to create a unique hue. I also tried using them on the lips too and I actually loved this look – there are literally no rules!
The shadesConsume,Enamour, Entice have a beautiful warm undertone and the colours Frisson, Infatuate andTonic are cool toned. Consume is a gorgeous deep terracotta shade, Enamour a warm coral and Entice a deep orange colour. They work perfectly to warm up the complexion and would look so beautiful in the summer time. Moving on to the more cool toned shades, Frisson is actually my favourite, it is this stunning soft nude-pink that works perfectly for everyday use. Infatuate is a lovely dark, dusky-pink shade and Tonic is a gorgeous cool pink. I absolutely love this colour range, because there’s a shade for everyone.
I would highly recommend these blushers. They have a unique consistency and blend beautifully. Whether you’re a fan of powder or cream blusher, the new Colour Veil is one to try. Have you guys tried the new Colour Veils before?
