Autumn has well and truly arrived now which means that there’s nothing I can do but accept the fact that I have to say goodbye to my summer dresses and skirts and introduce some cosy sweaters and coats to my wardrobe. Wrapping up warm is key during this season and today I wanted to share a few tips that will make your outfit planning for A/W a little bit more easy. I love switching up my wardrobe for the new season and the stores are already filled to the brim with gorgeous coats, jackets, sweaters and boots.
Clean out your Wardrobe
Of course. The best way when it comes to planning your A/W wardrobe is to make space for new items. I love having a massive clear out when the new season begins. I throw out anything that I haven’t worn in the last months or no longer fits me. You could also sell old clothing items on Depop or give them away to charity.
Make an Inspiration Board
Pinterest is definitely my favourite when it comes to making fashion inspiration boards. Going online and searching for the latest collections from your favourite online stores is all you need to find inspiration for what trends are in this season. I love pinning outfits from fellow bloggers as well as pins from my favourite fashion stores and make one huge inspiration board. You can follow my Pinterest here if you would like to see my boards.
Only buy what you love
I just want to love everything that I have in my closet and never get that annoying feeling that I have nothing to wear that I like. Especially since A/W clothes can be more expensive you want them to be able to be worn through to the next year too. Each piece should compliment your personal style and fit perfectly. So next time you go shopping, make a mental note of the pieces you need in your wardrobe and only buy clothes that you will get a lot of wear out of.
