Sometimes, a little tweak in your skincare routine is all you need to achieve beautiful, glowy skin. So today I have picked some of my favourite skincare tips to share with you guys. I follow these skincare tips religiously and I find them to be very effective. I hope you guys enjoy this post and I hope you’ll find some of these tips helpful as well!
Treat your skin gently
Especially when it comes to washing my face or removing my makeup I like to use organic coconut oil because it’s very gentle and keeps my skin glowing. I think coconut oil is a great all round natural beauty product. I also like to use organic tea tree oil or green tea bags for any blemishes because it dries out the blemish and helps to reduce inflammation and redness.
Lemon juice treatment
Lemon juice is packed with nutrients, so it’s not only healthy as a food but can also be used as a treatment for your skin. Washing your face with lemon juice has so many beauty benefits, such as lightening dark spots, evening out skin tone and it also works amazing for treating oily skin. I like to use it in the morning because the acid kind of pulls and dries everything out that’s not welcome on my face, so not really glamorous but it keeps your skin beautifully glowing!
At home facials
Professional facials are very expensive and why pay for one when you can easily do them yourself at home? I like to do a facial once a week including a natural homemade face mask and peeling. When it comes to cleansing I like to use coconut oil and to exfoliate my face I usually apply a mixture of olive oil and brown sugar and gently exfoliate in a circular motion. I usually steam my face for 3-5 minutes before applying my face mask and et voila – your at home facial is complete.
Drink plenty of water
Drinking enough water is definitely the secret behind supple, glowing, always camera-ready skin. If your skin isn’t getting the sufficient amount of water, the lack of hydration will present itself by making your skin look tired, dry and flaky. So, drinking water gives you a radiant, healthy and younger-looking complexion.
I started dry brushing my body last year and it is literally the best thing I have ever done for my body. It really detoxifies the system, gets the blood circulation going and it feels really energising. Definitely one of my favourite rituals, I do it morning and evening to exfoliate my skin and I also found that it reduces stretch marks and helps the skin to absorb the moisture you put on your skin better, like lotions, body butters or oils.
