Skincare is something that really is different for everyone, I’m currently having a really bad time with my skin so one of my goals for 2016 is to find a skincare routine that actually works for me and finally gets rid of my blemishes and uneven skin. I would describe my skin type as combination, blemish-prone, dehydrated and very sensitive. Awesome hey? Now, I want to find products that don’t irritate or dehydrate my skin, while still being effective against those annoying blemishes. I recently splurged on some skincare products that I’m excited to share with you today. I have only used these products twice so far but I will definitely write a full review once I’ve fully tested them.
Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream – Moisturising is such an important step to keep your skin as healthy, happy, and young-looking as possible. I must say, I totally neglected this step in the past which is probably why my skin got very dehydrated. I decided to try this cream because of it’s hydrating formula. It’s got a very light texture that sinks into the skin quite quickly, leaving it very soft and hydrated. This moisturizer contains Avocado Oil, which is actually one of my favourite oils to use on my skin and apparently, its unique combination of ingredients helps reduce moisture loss while drawing and absorbing moisture from the air.
Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cleanser – From the same range as the moisturizer, I decided to give this cleanser a try as well. I’ve made the mistake in the past to buy cleansers that really dried out my skin and when I read all the great customer reviews on Douglas I thought I could do no wrong with this one. Just like the moisturizer, it’s got a very mild formula that contains a sugar-derived glycoside foaming agent to thoroughly cleanse the skin and remove makeup without over-drying or stripping the skin of its natural oils. It’s also pH-balanced to maintain your skin’s natural balance.
Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado – After reading roughly 1000 amazing reviews about this eye cream, I finally decided to pick it up and test it myself. My eye area is very dry and sensitive and I’ve also noticed that my dark circles are worse than ever (damn you exams) so I thought this little pot would come in handy at the moment. This eye treatment with Avocado is described as a burst of hydration to your eye area with a unique, concentrated texture that won’t migrate into your eyes. Contains avocado oil to gently moisturize delicate skin. So far, I really like it!
Pixi Glow Tonic – Another product I’ve read so many great reviews about and I’ve actually asked you guys on Twitter whether you would recommend it or not and the majority of you said that it was an awesome product. So, of course I bought it! The Glow Tonic is supposed to brighten, tone and condition your skin after cleansing. I’m very excited to use this toner and I can’t wait to see some results!
Have you tried any of these products?
