Today I thought I’d do an updated Makeup Routine as I haven’t done one in a while. I’ve switched up my makeup routine a little bit for Autumn, as you do, and there are a few new things I’ve been loving and I’m excited to share them with you.
I start off by using the Makeup Forever Hydrating Primer – my skin tends to get very dry around Autumn/Winter so a hydrating primer is a must-have in this routine. I love this Makeup Forever primer because it helps my foundation to last a really long time without looking greasy. I then follow up with my trusty Makeup Forever HD Foundation in the shade N115 I just absolutely love this foundation and I will always repurchase this wonder worker. Actually, there’s a new version of their HD foundation on the market which I am most excited to try. I mean, an even better version of this foundation? Yes please! For concealer I use the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in the shade 15 I think this is an amazing drugstore concealer and I highly recommend giving it a try. One of my new favourite products is the NYX Highlight & Contour Palette which I’ve been using religiously ever since I bought it. I always use the shade Sculpt to contour, Creme to set my concealer and to brighten the under eye area and for the highlight, I love using the shade Nectar. To bronze up my skin a little bit more, I use the Nars Laguna Bronzer, another one of my all time favourites.
Moving on to eyes – you guys know how much I love my KIKO Long Lasting Stick Eyeshadows and I’ve been reaching for the shade 06 Golden Brown everyday for the past few weeks. Golden Brown adds such a beautiful bronze colour to the eye lids and these eyeshadow sticks are very easy to blend. I then apply my favourite mascara, the Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara and a little bit of the Essence Brow Gel to set my brows in place.
For my lips, I’ve been reaching for MAC’s Modesty lipstick a lot. I absolutely love this shade, it’s the perfect nude for my skin tone. Cremesheen finishes are also perfect for this weather and it keeps my lips really hydrated during the day.
Have you tried any of these products? What are your current go-to products for Autumn?
