I always tend to categorize lipstick colours by season – pastels for spring and dark berry hues for fall. As we head into autumn, I absolutely love wearing deep, vampy shades. With the vast array of MAC lipsticks available it’s hard to choose which ones are worth the money, so I thought I’d pick out my top 5 MAC lipsticks for autumn.
MAC Rebel | Rebel is a really popular colour for fall, it’s a vivid pinkish-purple shade with a satin finish. I find this lipstick works extremely well with fair skin tones and I remember wearing this shade almost everyday last year. Rebel looks quite scary and dark in the bullet but once applied on the lips it’s a beautiful deep fuchsia berry colour.
MAC Amorous | Amorous is a beautiful brownish-plum shade with a satin finish. It’s very buildable, so you can go for a more dramatic look with this lipstick. I love how rich and velvety it looks on my lips, so definitely one of my go-to lipsticks for autumn and winter. I would absolutely recommend this shade to people who are trying out a vampy shade for the first time as this one is deep without being too dark.
MAC Viva Glam III | I think I wore this lipstick every single day for a while last autumn. I absolutely love how dramatic this lipstick looks. Viva Glam III is a beautiful rich plummy, slightly brown shade with a matte finish. This lipstick is my absolute favourite „dark“ shade and it complements my complexion perfectly.
MAC Russian Red | I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Russian Red is my all time favourite MAC lipstick and I will never not have this in my collection. I love this shade of red – it’s that classic red lipstick that looks good on virtually everyone. (I also love that it makes your teeth look a lot whiter)
MAC Twig | Twig is for those who prefer nudes rather than bold tones for fall. I completely adore this colour, it’s perfect for Uni or work – its creamy formula makes it comfortable to wear all day. Twig is very very pigmented and comes out on me as a really flattering dusty brown-toned mauve.
