Can you guys believe it’s actually December? I still can’t wrap my head around the idea that 2018 is almost over. I feel like I blinked and the year went by. However, I’m super exited about Christmas and I’m finally getting into the festive spirit. You guys probably know that I’m not a Winter lover in general, though I do like to make the most of it and what I actually love doing on a cold winter night, is having a cosy pamper evening at home. I personally think there is no better way to relax than by having a hot bubble bath when it’s freezing cold outside. Read on to find out everything that I do on a cosy pamper evening during Winter.
Now a pamper routine wouldn’t be complete without having a hot bubble bath and you guys already know what products I use for that. Lush is my go-to when it comes to bath products and this years Christmas collection is just the most magical thing. I recently got their limited edition candy cane bubble bar and it creates the most amazing sea of bubbles. In the bath, my shower gel of choice is the L’Occitane Almond Shower Oil. My skin tends to get very dry during winter and this oil moisturises the skin beautifully leaving it soft, smooth and refreshed. While I’m in the bath I also like to use a face mask, because the warm water creates steam, which helps to open up your pores. This will soften the the skin, making it easier to absorb all the good ingredients in a mask. Recently I’ve been really into sheet masks, especially from the brands Talika and Skin Republik. They’re so easy to use and it usually only takes a few seconds to remove the excess product once you’re done with the mask.
The create a cosy atmosphere I like to burn candles, I’m actually not the biggest fan of scented candles so I usually prefer normal ones without any scent added to them. I just love how candles can help you to completely unwind and calm down. On a pamper night in I also enjoy reading books or listening to podcasts while I’m following my beauty routine. I bought a few books about Buddhism which I’m currently reading. I find it so interesting to learn more about central Buddhist concepts such as karma, morality and meditation. If you guys have any suggestions definitely leave them in the comments because I would love to find more books about this topic.
