Hey guys, I hope you’re all having an awesome weekend so far. Today is my last day in France and we’re heading back home very early tomorrow morning (really looking forward to that 12 hour drive) however, today’s post is going to be a little travel guide/photo diary from our day trip to Monaco last week. Monaco is such a beautiful city, I love everything from the stunning architecture, the fancy restaurants to the breathtaking view of the ocean. I thought I would share some of my favourite places in Monaco and a few photos that I took while wandering around this gorgeous city. I hope you guys enjoy this post and let me know if you’ve been to Monaco before, I’d love to know your experiences!
Cafe De Paris – the first thing I want to talk about is, of course, food. Monaco is filled to the brim with nice restaurants but most of them are ridiculously expensive. However, my friend recommended this particular restaurant and I was really impressed. The Cafe De Paris is located right in front of the Monte Carlo casino, the food was lovely and the presentation fantastic – not cheap but well worth stopping by as the ambiance is brilliant and you can enjoy the view.
Casino Square – or you could also call it the best car showroom in the world. Honestly countless Ferraris, Bentleys or Lamborghinis. I think the square is the best area to wander in Monaco and it’s particularly beautiful at night when all the buildings are lit up and the fountains running. It is definitely the main spot where everybody goes. Here you will find the world famous Casino de Monte Carlo, Hotel de Paris and the Cafe de Paris. The architecture is just perfect and a joy to walk around and I think this is just one of the things that must be experienced at least once in your life.
Opera De Monte Carlo – now I personally have never been inside the building but it must be a great experience to attend the opera here. If the inside is anything like the outside, it is quite simply stunning. I mean, the Baroque building is spectacular on its own but you get a really impressive overlook of the sea as well.
Saint Martin Gardens – honestly one of the best park gardens I have ever been to and a must see when visiting the Ocean Museum and the Palace as the garden is only few meters next to them. It’s jut perfect for a nice peaceful stroll and the viewpoints are absolutely gorgeous too.
Monte Carlo Harbour – I was absolutely blown away by this beautiful harbour guys, what can I say – you’re basically surrounded by million dollar yachts, beautiful buildings, restaurants and people. We took a stroll down the Marina and it’s so nice looking at all the beautiful yachts, gleaming in the sun. There are also some really lovely restaurants and a public swimming pool with flumes. Very busy place but also very calm at the same time.
Have you been to Monaco before?
